The island’s faithful turned out on Monday for the annual Dec. 8 procession honoring Guam’s patron saint, Our Lady of Camarin, and former PDN photographer Manny Crisostomo was on island to capture the parishioners participating in the walk through Hagåtña.

“It’s been several decades since I documented Santa Marian Kamalen Day, a special day for the island Catholics who gather in the hundreds to pay homage to Santa Marian Kamalen, Guam’s patron saint and protector,” Manny wrote in a social media post accompanying his photos.

Manny is on island to deliver the Fanuchånan (Fall/Winter) Commencement speech at the University of Guam on Dec. 21.
