CHamorus and friends of Guam will be gathering in the Grand Canyon State in the coming weeks for two Liberation celebrations - see below for details!
Oct. 18: Tucson
Tucson area residents will be celebrating the 81st Guam Liberation at Chuck Ford Lakeside Park in Tucson from 12-6 pm. Attendees are asked to bring a potluck dish and one case of water per family, as well as a canopy and chairs for your family. Contact organizers to let them know what you’ll be bringing - contact numbers are on the public Facebook group.

Nov. 1: Phoenix area
Fanohge Chamorro Presents: Arizona’s West Valley Liberation Celebration will take place 1-6 pm at Bicentennial Park, 16705 N Nash St. in Surprise, Arizona - a suburb of metropolitan Phoenix. There will be vendors, raffle prizes and live entertainment including a performance by Joe Guam. Bring your lawn chairs, picnic tables and beer - cans only, no glass bottles or pop-up tents. Oct. 11: Kutturan CHamoru Foundation Gala 32 (CA)
There’s still time to get your tickets for Kutturan CHamoru Foundation’s 32nd Anniversary Gala, where participants will be celebrating the nonprofit’s 32 years of tuition-free cultural programming. The gala takes place 4-7 pm Oct. 11 at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach. The event will feature the inaugural foundation Awards: the Latte Award, Galaide Award and Kutturan CHamoru Award. Attendees can also look forward to delicious food, live entertainment and traditional CHamoru cultural presentation against the museum’s beautiful backdrop.

Oct. 18: 1st Annual Håcha Marianas (TX)
Join the North Texas CHamoru Association for the inaugural Håcha Marianas festival 9 am-6pm Oct. 18 at The Chisolm Trail Outdoor Museum, site of the DFW Guam Liberation in July. The event will feature cultural presentations, food trucks, vendors and workshops.
